Ensembles

This is where we turn theatre into rocket science. So only ultra-serious artists find a place at these free training sessions. The sessions are regular and intense focusing on ensemble acting, devising, and physical theatre.

The Stages Ensemble is about equipping artists with superpowers and unleashing them on the world. They are most often the core of Stages’ productions and many have gone on to achieve amazing things.

Beyond our core ensembles, Stages works with community artists who bring theatre into neighbourhoods and everyday spaces, blending performance with the lived realities of the communities they work in.

Selvaraj Leelawathi is a multi-award-winning theatre artist with two decades of experience in acting, directing, and design, and co-founder of Theatre Mates Cultural Association. Rasiah Lohanathan is an award-winning playwright and director known for pioneering Neighbourhood Theatre, bringing performance into intimate community spaces.
